Failure analysis and improvement measures of quenched and tempered crack on42CrMoA steel pin shaft

摘要: 通过裂纹的宏观和微观观察,采用化学成分分析、硬度测试及显微组织检验等方法,对42CrMoA钢销轴调质开裂的原因进行了分析。结果表明,销轴端面螺纹孔处的裂纹是淬火裂纹,主要原因是原材料组织不合格、淬火介质冷速过快、零件结构不合理等多方面导致的淬火开裂。通过对原材料、淬火介质、产品结构三方面进行优化,避免了销轴的淬火开裂。

Abstract: Causes of cracking of 42CrMoA steel pin shaft after quenching and tempering were analyzed by means of macroscopic and microscopic observation,chemical composition analysis,hardness test and microstructure test.The results show that the crack at the end thread hole of the pin shaft is due to quenching,which is mainly caused by unqualified raw material structure,too fast cooling rate of quenching medium and unreasonable structure design of parts.By optimizing the material,quenching medium and product structure,the quenching cracking of the pin shaft is avoided.
