Simulation of end quenching process and prediction of hardenability of Cr-Ni-Mo gear steel

摘要: 通过端淬试验测定了20Cr、20CrMo和20CrNiMo钢的淬透性曲线,分析了合金元素对淬透性的影响。利用Abaqus软件和Maynier组织预测模型,对3种成分钢的淬透性曲线进行了模拟计算。结果表明,20Cr、20CrMo和20CrNiMo 3种齿轮钢的淬透性依次降低;试验测定值与模拟计算值基本吻合,表明此种方法可以用来预测齿轮钢的淬透性曲线。

Abstract: Hardenability curves of 20Cr, 20CrMo and 20CrNiMo steels were measured by end quenching experiments, and the effect of alloying elements on the hardenability was analyzed. The hardenability curves of the three steels with different compositions were simulated and calculated by using Abaqus software and Maynier microstructure prediction model. The results show that the hardenability of the 20Cr, 20CrMo and 20CrNiMo gear steels decreases in turn, and the measured values are in good agreement with those calculated by simulation, which indicates that this method can be used to predict the hardenability curve of the gear steel.
